All Summer in a Day

This short story written by Ray Bradbury is abouta new civilization created in a planet called Venus, in wivh the sun only comes out every seven years and just for a while. The story tells of some kids that are in school and that dont remember how sun is because the first time they saw it they were to little. There is one particular girl called Margot that do remember the sun because she wasnt that little the last time she saw it so in the only thing she thibks about is the SUN. She is a lonely girl that is bodered by the rest of his classmates. When Margot shared what she remember about sun but the kids being always mean with her say that she was lying. Until one day the kids locked up Margot in the closet and left her there. After a while the teacher came to the class and tell the kids if they are ready to go out and see the sun because finally after seven years the sun came out again. The kids happily went with the teacher and enjoyed the sun as much as the sun went away again. When it satrted raining again like if it was a avalanche and they had to go back to the classroom. Once they were inside again one girl remembered Margot was still inside the closet. The kids took Margot out the closet and she couldnt see the sun as she wanted for seven years.

"The sky darkened into midnight in a flash.
They stood in the doorway of the underground for a moment until it was raining hard. Then they closed the door and heard the gigantic sound of the rain falling in tons and avalanches, everywhere and forever".

Here Ray Bradbury uses the sense of sight and sound by describing how the rain came again and the terrible sound it made. In the picture we can see a very rainy and cold day that makes no one want to go outside. The sound of the rain was so strong that it was like the sun never came out and it was so cold that is like the only seson they have is winter.

The main character of the story is Margot, she is a very quiete and lonely girl that wants to go back to live in the Earth. She is very respectfull with his classmateseven they treat her badly.

When the class sang songs about happiness and life and games her lips barely moved.
This shows that Margot not happy of his life because when the class sings happy song she dosent sing so it shows that he really wants sun back because if it only rains then is like sad day but when is sunny it is like happy day so Margot looks sad.

Taste

This is a Roald Dahl short story that is about a man called Michael Scofield that invite his friend Richard Pratt and his wife to dinner in Michaels house. Richard Pratt is a famous gourmet man that likes all types of wines and know them very well. While eating dinner Richard was very interested in Michaels daughter so he seated next to her and talked to her all dinner without even eating his own fish. Michel and Richard everytime they meet they make some bets about who knows which wine they are drinking. This night they also made a bet, Michael took a wine from his study and Richard need t tell what exact wine it was. Michael said that he would bet anything that Pratt wants, so Pratt taking it very serious what Michael said and he said that he want to bet the hand of her daughter in marriage. Michael was so sure that he was going to win because he said that his wines are good enough to be recognised so he convinced his daughter to accept the bet. After accepting the bet Michael went to his studio take out one wine and gave a glass to Pratt. Richard Pratt took his time deciding which wine it was and after tasting it many times and discarding some possibilities he said his final word. When he said his final answer Michael was quiet staring a the table and the rest of the guests were saint for Michael to show the tag of the wine. But sadly Pratt was correct and he "won the prize".

"He paused, his mouth full of wine, getting the first taste, then, he permitted some of it to trickle down his throat and I saw his Adam's apple move as it passed by". (4)

Here Roald Dahl appeals to the sense of sight because he was very descriptive at the moment of tasting the wine. In the image we can see how this person drinks and very carefully tasting every single mouthful of wine. Also we can see how the wine passes through his throught.

The protagonist of ti story is Michael Scofield, he is a very confident of himself. He is the type of  person that we can how he is by looking his actions for example:
'So you'll bet me anything I like?' 'That's what I told you. I'll
bet you anything you damn well please, if you want to make an issue out of it.'
This reveals about the character that he is very sure of what he is doing or what he is betting. By teling Richard Pratt that he would bet anything he damn please then he would choose anything and Michael cant say no so that is why Pratt choosed the hand of her daughter in marriage.
